2007 GMC Sierra Dually Review

The 2007 GMC Sierra Classic 3500 Dually is available in eight models. The Work Truck, Base, SLE, and SLT trim in either 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. A powertrain consisting of a 6.0L 300-hp Vortec V-8 engine mated to either a four-speed automatic transmission is available as standard equipment on all Crew Cab models. A 330 horsepower 8.1L V8 engine or a 6.6L Duramax turbocharged V-8 diesel engine producing 360 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque are also available. Available with the optional engines are a five-speed manual transmission or an Allison six-speed automatic transmission. Though the 2007 GMC Sierra 3500 Classic dually pick up is pretty much unchanged, GMC did make a number of revisions. A variety of cab and bed styles are available for the 2007 GMC Sierra 3500 Classic dually pickup truck: Extended cab and Crewcab.

The 1 ton 2007 GMC Sierra Classic 3500 Extended Cab Dually is available in 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive. This truck is also available in all three trim packages - Work Truck, SLE and SLT. Special options available on the SLE and SLT include: Custom cloth seats, CD player and cruise control on the SLE. Overhead console, power door locks and remote entry on the SLT.

The standard engine is a 300 HP Vortec 6.0L V8. Optional engines include the 330 HP Vortec 8.1L Big Block V8 and the Duramax Diesel 360 HP 6.6L V8 Turbo. Strong engine choices, multiple drivetrain options, impressive towing and hauling ability are a plus on the GMC dually.

A Hydra-Matic HD 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission is standard. However, a 5-speed HD manual overdrive and Allison 6-speed automatic overdrive transmissions are optional. That strong combination puts the GMC head and shoulders above the competition when it's time for some serious towing.
